We are very glad to inform you that NPTEL LOCAL CHAPTER has been established in our University and  Dr.T.V.RamakrishnaAsso.Dean, Library is the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for this chapter.
NPTEL has been offering Open online courses along with certification. Through this online portal, 10hr, 20hr and 30hr courses of 4, 8, and 12 weeks duration respectively in various engineering disciplines, sciences, humanities, management and research that includes relevant exposure to tools and technologies, are currently being offered by NPTEL.
Incidental benefits: 
  1. Enrolling and learning from the course involves no cost.
  2. Flexibility for the student as he/she can prioritize his/her time and work at one’s own pace.
  3. Variety of programs and courses.

All the students are hereby informed that, National Securities Depository Limited (NSDSL) e-Governance Infrastructure Ltd., has developed Vidya Lakshmi Portal.  This portal has facilities of education loan, scholarship and other student friendly facilities through one link. The portal is gateway to Banks for education loan & also has linkages with National e-Scholarship Portal (NeSP).

40 banks have been registered so far and 71 loan schemes have been uploaded in Vidya Lakshmi Portal.  A link to the Vidya Lakshmi Portal has been provided in the home page of AICTE web portal (www.aicte-india.org).

This is to inform that KLU Management has taken a Group Personal Accident Policy for all Students, all Earning Parent of the Students and all Staff (Faculty and Non-teaching staff).  Some of the important features of the Policy are given hereunder:

BENEFITS OFFERED

Benefit 1: Accidental Death - Earning Parent Earning Parent Benefit: A sum of   Rs 4,00,000/- is given to the management of the institute to ensure that, the student continues to gain quality education from our institution even, if his/her income-earning parent meets with an accident resulting in death.

Benefit 2: Accidental Death & Weekly Benefit for Staff: In case staff meets with an accident resulting to his/her death, a sum of Rs 10,00,000/- is given to the staff’s family. Weekly compensation payable Rs.5,000/- for Staff only or actual weekly salary whichever is lower for a period of 104 weeks. Children Education Welfare Fund for dependent children in case of Death of Employee up to 10,000/- per child (Restricted to 2 children)

Example: If a Teaching staff meets with an accident and if he/she is unable to attend his/her duties, say for 4 weeks, then the above said Rs.5000/- will be paid to the management / staff for 3 weeks amounting to Rs.15,000/- or actual salary of the person whichever is less. 1 week elimination on weekly benefit applicable for each claim.

Benefit 3: Accidental Medical Expenses & OPD: In case students / staff meets with an accident resulting to his/her Hospitalization, a sum of Rs 25,000/- or actual expenses whichever is lower will be given to insured. Rs 5000/- OPD Treatment.  Only for students & Staff - Medical expenses covered up to Rs 25,000 or actuals whichever is less triggered only when claim is admissible under benefit table A,B,C,D1 as per attached list

Benefit 4: Students Safety Accidental Death & Dismemberment: In case a student meets with an accident resulting in his/her death, a sum of Rs 1, 00,000/- is given to the parent/guardian. All eligible claims will be paid in favour of Parent as per the first name appearing in institute’s records in the event of non-availability of nominee details.

Period of Insurance :   Valid upto the Midnight of 05/12/2017

Warranties: The claim should be made within the three months of the occurrence of the event, failing which Insurance Company shall not entertain any claim.

students of K L University towards Swatch KLU during Smart India Hackatho2017 eventscheduled to be conducted on April 1st and April 2nd 2017.


In this regard, an event “Beetle Bowl will be conducted from 31-03-201 to 06-04-201to collect Electronic waste from all the students, staff, faculty and respective departments.

This is to inform that US Consulate officials would like to organize an awareness program with the students of our University on Visa Procedures & Higher Education Opportunities in USA.

In this context, Mr. Donald Mulligan, Consular Chief, Ms.Lauren Vine, Consular Officer, Ms.Archana Talupuru, LE Staff, will provide guidance about mandatory requirements to apply for VISA & process of verification of education credentials. In this connection an interface is scheduled at 11.00 am to 12.30 pm on 16thMarch 2017 in Sunflower Hall.
